• Contact family to see what needs are, and assist family as needed.
• All deacons will be available to stay at family’s home during funeral; open the church; and assist as pallbearers if needed.
• Can assist with coordinating family meal/reception following funeral if needed.

Communication

• Prepares website or newsletter communication from Deacon ministries and announcements
• Communicates church closing due to inclement weather or emergencies.
  
• Judy will distribute minutes of all deacon meetings to deacons and to church office.

Hospital

Members:

Beth Duncan

• Visits those hospitalized, providing prayer support for patient and their family.
• Coordinates with family members to meet their needs, ie. ride to hospital.
• Follow-up with members after they are discharged.

Ordinance

Members:

• Ensures supplies are available
• Ensures serving trays and cups are clean
• Prepares baptism pool and ensures cleaning of baptism clothing and supplies.
• Assists with baptisms as needed.

Senior Adult/Homebound

• Ministers to needs of Senior Adults/Homebound members
• Identifies needs and offers prayers along with physical, emotional and spiritual support.
• Coordinates providing home communion.
• Coordinates visitation

Visitors & New Members

Members:

Bonnie Parker

• Helps staff Welcome Center to greet visitors and provides welcome kit & gift.
• Follow up with visitors to offer a warm welcome and understanding of their spiritual needs.
• Helps educate and integrate new members into Sunday School, worship, and other ministries of the church.
