Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor;
blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your
children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man
who fears the Lord. May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of
Jerusalem all the days of your life. May you live to see your children’s children— peace be on Israel.
“Expanding the Kingdom of God through Families”
Kingdom Families-2024 Vision and Implementation
We want to help disciple men, women, and kids while putting special emphasis on family discipleship as a
lifestyle. We don’t want to think of it as just a class or curriculum. We look to empower parents to disciple
their children to expand the Kingdom of God. Kingdom Families is rooted in Psalm 128 and looks to minister to the needs of the entire family. In 2024, we look to reach 100 families with the gospel of Jesus Christ! How will we implement this vision?
The key part of any vision is implementation. There are four ways we will implement Kingdom Families into the life of the church; Brunch & Bible, Friday Family Worship, Young Olive Trees, and Children and Youth Activities.
-Brunch & Bible-
In January we will launch an integrated and intergenerational Bible study for the whole
family where we as a church will model how family discipleship can be done in the home.
Deuteronomy 6 teaches us that true discipleship happens in the home.
4 “Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all
your soul, and with all your strength. 6 These words that I am giving you today are to be in your
heart. 7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk
along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them
be a symbol on your forehead. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your city gates.
Often times in church we segment and segregate the family during Bible studies. The men will attend the
men’s class, the women will attend the women’s class, and the kids are split up into classes based on
their age. During these times the whole family can have a different curriculum and many times spiritually
they are not on the same accord. With Brunch and Bible, we look to combat that with a family Bible study
with activities that will promote, encourage, and empower families to live up to their spiritual mandate to
disciple their own family. This event will build up to occurring twice a month and will be one of our building
blocks for everything dealing with Kingdom Families. Brunch and Bible will be a springboard for all the
other components of Kingdom Families. This will take place after morning worship for no more than two
hours. (Twice a month after Sunday worship)
-Friday Family Worship-
We want families to engage in praising and worshiping God as a family at
home, so we want to model that with Friday Family Worship. This will give the opportunity to design a
worship experience that will attract and meet the needs of young families around the area. We are looking
to have this event once a month on the 4th Friday. (4th Friday each month)
-Young Olive Trees-
We will revamp our Wednesday Night Bible Study experience with children and
youth to include praise, worship, bible study, and scripture memorization. (Every Wednesday)
